Distracted

The milliner came home last night, talking about puggles. Now, I'm all for the pug part of the equation; beagles? not so much.
After a small search, I come across this page. I swear, I've clicked every link, bookmarking all the ones I want. Now, I know that dogs and owners are supposed to eventually look alike, but why am I oddly attracted to mastiffs?

Do you really want us to answer that?

I like the puggle but please don't go for the pug. I don't understand pug love. Freaks me out.

Perhaps it's gratifying to have a pet who's more out of shape than the owner?
Owner: "Hey pug, you wanna go for a walk?"
Pug: "Wheeze wheeze, nah, I'd rather just lie here."
Owner: "Fine with me."

ok, i can't stay quiet about this. pugs drive me nuts. not the dogs themselves, but the concept. did you know they are a purely man-created breed? and that they often need help procreating because the male has no clue what to do? and then when the puppies are born, because of her distorted jaw the mother cannot cut the ombilical cords, so without human intervention the puppies would just die? it gets better - those puppies do not have the instinct to suck and need to be put on the teets - yes, otherwise they'd die, again! and all this was explained to me by... a pug breeder! it's beyond my comprenhension how people want dogs that are so unnatural, so far from what a dog is! argh! i don't get it!

"brave, observant, intelligent and stubborn": that's a dog! the same pug breeder (yes, everybody around me knows by now not to get me started on pugs...) told me that if a burglar comes in to a pug home, he might take the pug for a ceramic dog, because they are oh so docile and quiet and wouldn't move a paw. bleah!

i have five cats, but i do love dogs. real dogs. dog dogs. and i am curious about that commie breed ;-)

"Two to four inches, coarse, dense, weatherproof, wiry and bristly but close lying wavy."

honestly honey, i just got out of a cold shower...

we looking for a pup right now, although living in an apartment keeps us from our husky dreams. mid sized for now, and then we can upgrade later. 2 dogs, i've never owned two dogs before.

Your head shrinks when you take a shower? Oh, wait, never mind.

There's someone here who's looking to give away a golden retriever. Interested?
