So, I'm watching The West Wing last night, enjoying it as per usual. Toward the end--the dénouement, if you will--when what do I hear but certain familiar strings.
Why yes, Aaron Sorkin, in all his po-mo brilliance, inserted Jeff Buckley's rendition of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah into the script. God, I love this show. Such a sad scene, such a beautifully sung song.
Strange, I always meant to write up a blog about my fascination with Buckley and his untimely departure; just never got around to it.
Oh yeah, and I'm getting separated.
